Galaxy Tap Telegram WebApp

Galaxy Tap β€” Telegram Clicker Game

A space-themed Telegram WebApp where players tap through battles, develop a station and battleship, and explore a shared progression system.

Project Goal

Bring short gaming sessions into Telegram: give players a clear loop of battles, resource collection and upgrades, with progress available when they return.

Concept

The player moves between a space station, battles and a workshop. Station and ship upgrades, skills, quests and a leaderboard give context to each session. The mobile-first web interface runs inside Telegram; a PHP API stores player state in MongoDB, while a Node.js service connects the game through Socket.IO. Separate Next.js landing pages introduce the game.

Inside Galaxy Tap

Original game screens captured from the locally running Telegram WebApp client, connected to its PHP API, MongoDB and WebSocket service.

Screenshots show a local demonstration with a fictional player, resources and leaderboard records. The interface, artwork and logo come from the project. A local Telegram shell supplies the demonstration identity; this is a WebApp, not a native iOS or Android application. Payments, wallet operations and external actions are disabled. Live Telegram authentication and monetary operations were not verified.

Advantages

  • πŸš€ Play inside Telegram β€” open the WebApp without installing a separate native game.
  • πŸ‘Ύ Follow a clear game loop β€” battles connect tapping with creature health and game rewards.
  • πŸ› οΈ Develop your setup β€” station, battleship and skill upgrades provide several paths of progression.
  • 🎯 Choose the next objective β€” quests and workshop missions organise the available activities.
  • πŸ† Compare progress β€” the leaderboard puts player achievements into a shared game context.

Technologies

The client uses Next.js 14, React 18 and TypeScript, with Legend State, TanStack Query, PixiJS and Phaser in the game code. The API uses PHP, Symfony 6.4, API Platform and Doctrine MongoDB ODM. A separate Node.js and TypeScript service uses Socket.IO; MongoDB holds game data. Telegram WebApp provides the host integration.

Developing a Telegram WebApp game: Galaxy Tap

Galaxy Tap brings a space-themed clicker into the Telegram environment. The case combines a mobile-first game interface, persistent player data and a separate real-time service.

Designing a game loop for short Telegram sessions

Players need to understand what to do next when they open a mini app. Galaxy Tap connects battles with game resources, station and battleship upgrades, workshop activities and quests. These screens organise the progression loop without requiring a separate native application.

Connecting the interface with persistent game state

The Next.js and React client presents the game, the Symfony API works with player documents in MongoDB, and the Node.js service handles Socket.IO connections. Keeping these responsibilities separate gives the interface access to persistent progress and a communication channel for game events. The source also includes Next.js landing pages.

What the demonstration confirms

The portfolio uses original screens from an isolated local deployment and fictional game records. It demonstrates the station, battle interface, workshop and leaderboard. Live Telegram sign-in, wallet transactions and payments are outside this verification. No commercial performance or player income is inferred from the demo.
