DoctorNow β Online Consultation Platform
A digital consultation product connecting patients, doctors and service managers through mobile, web and administration interfaces.
Project Goal
Give patients a clear way to find a specialist and access a consultation, while providing doctors and managers with shared tools for profiles, schedules and consultation records.
Concept
DoctorNow separates the patient experience from the operational workspace. The React web client provides invitation-based access and a searchable list of duty doctors. The administration application manages specialists, patients and consultations through a Symfony API. A separate React Native and Expo mobile application is present in the source.
Inside DoctorNow
Real screens from the locally running web client and administration application, connected to a separate Symfony API and a small fictional dataset. The narrow screens below show the mobile web client.

Screenshots show a local demonstration with fictional doctors, a patient, a clinic and consultation records. The logo and default profile imagery come from the project. Emails, push, payments and external calls are disabled in the demo. Video calls, native Android/iOS builds, payments and the full consultation lifecycle were not verified. The screens do not contain real patient records.
Advantages
- π Find a specialist β search the duty-doctor list and review specialities in one place.
- π’ See availability β distinguish available doctors from those already consulting.
- π©Ί Understand the profile β review the doctorβs category, experience and consultation duration.
- π Follow consultations β managers can review appointments, participants and statuses in a shared list.
- ποΈ Maintain service data β dedicated interfaces organise doctors, patients, clinics and specialities.
Technologies
The web client uses React 19, TypeScript, Vite and Redux Toolkit; administration uses React 18 with Tailwind CSS. The backend uses PHP, Symfony 7.3, API Platform and Doctrine ORM with a relational database. The separate mobile codebase uses React Native 0.81 and Expo 54.

Developing an online consultation platform
DoctorNow illustrates how a patient-facing experience and an operational workspace can share consultation data while serving different tasks. The case focuses on product workflows and software architecture, rather than medical outcomes.
Helping patients choose a doctor
A useful consultation interface makes specialities, experience, duration and availability easy to compare. The DoctorNow web client combines these details with doctor search and invitation-based access. The local demonstration verifies browsing and search with fictional profiles.
Connecting service operations with patient access
Managers need a different view from patients: lists of doctors, profile settings, clinic affiliations and consultation statuses. React interfaces communicate with a Symfony and API Platform backend, with Doctrine managing the relational model. The source also contains React Native and Expo mobile clients and call integrations.
What this case demonstrates
The screenshots were captured from real locally running applications with an isolated database. Doctor search, profile display and consultation administration were checked. Native builds, live video calls, payment processing and the complete consultation lifecycle remain outside the verified demonstration. The case makes no claims about clinical effectiveness or commercial performance.
